Steven

This is the story of the convert Steven. I found this story very funny and I wanted to share it with you. Steven was a guy who wanted to convert to christianity, but didn't know which doctrine to choose. He decided to go to a protestant church, a catholic church and an orthodox church.

One day, he went to the protestant church and he saw that there was a lot of order there and also that the church was very clean. He also saw that the people there were very polite and had very good manners. Another day, Steven went to the catholic church and he saw that there was a lot of order in this church too and also devotion to their leader.

Finally, he went to the orthodox church. He was surprised by what he saw. The place was a mess. People were talking or even arguing with each other. Babies were screaming and their parents weren’t really watching them. People were also making noise when they were entering and exiting the church. I know that this sounds bad, but unfortunately this is the state of many orthodox churches…

Surprisingly, after these experiences that he had, Steven decided to become orthodox! He said that he made this decision because he believed that a church with a lot of order and discipline could survive for 2000 years. A church that was a mess, however, wouldn’t be able to survive for 2000 years without having God on its side!
