Premarital sex

As I have said in previous articles, premarital sex is a sin. I am not an expert in the topic and I can’t explain in detail the reasons why it is a sin, but there are some general things that I know and I wanted to share them with you.
To begin with, during marriage the union between a man and a woman is blessed. Their union is blessed and the people receive the grace from God that they need to give themselves to the other person (Gatzelis, 2020). Before marriage, when people have sex, it actually causes them psychological and emotional problems (Gatzelis, 2020); this is because people give themselves to another person, but their union hasn’t been done with the Holy Spirit, as it would happen during marriage. In contrast, the union has happened due to feelings, enthusiasm etc. It has happened with human forces and not with divine forces.
When people give their bodies to each other, but they haven’t received the grace from God that they need, this causes problems to them (Gatzelis, 2020). This also makes them unable to judge the other person’s character well. The sex that the people are having is blinding them. They are blinded by their emotions and their sexual connection and the desire to continue it and this prevents them from clearly understanding the character of the person that they have (Gatzelis, 2020). We often also observe people who take divorces because they realized that they are incompatible after marriage and hadn’t realized it before. After marriage, the Holy Spirit has now united the people too and the Holy Spirit makes them not be blind anymore (Gatzelis, 2020). Therefore, they realise that they married the wrong person and may take a divorce.
