Peter

Peter was a man who had a hard life. His mother tried to kill him as a child. As a teenager, he had also been abused sexually by a catholic priest. Some years later, he started taking drugs and he also started searching for other religions.

He read about and tried many different religions (eg. Buddhism, Islam, Hinduism) and travelled in many different countries. He wasn’t satisfied by all these religions and none of them managed to fill a gap that he felt inside him.

At some point in his life he met an orthodox priest who has died today and has been recognised by the orthodox church as a saint. This priest became his spiritual father. When he met him, he felt that he met love incarnated and that this man was also very wise. Peter wanted to be baptised and become an orthodox Christian and he became orthodox. He also forgave all the people who treated him badly in his past and harmed him.
